About the speaker:  

Dr. Hoffman is a lecturer and a researcher at the School of Government at the Interdisciplinary Center Herzlyia and co-founder of the International Policy Institute for Counter-Terrorism.

He served as Personal Assistant to the late Prime Minister Yitzak Rabin, and was a member and the coordinator of the Israeli delegation to the peace negotiations with Syria.   Dr. Hoffman also served as an adviser to the Minister of Defense on political and international affairs, as well as an adviser to the Health Minister on political affairs and on international economic cooperation.

Camping has been a longtime passion of Ronen's, and beyond his academic work, he also has many summers of experience as a senior staff person and music specialist at Jewish summer camps. He founded the first real resident camp in Israel, Camp Kimama, and is currently realizing a personal dream by starting 'Kimama Camp USA', a unique quality summer camp in New York celebrating Israeli culture and spirit
