TAX WORKSHOP

Speaker: Oren Adler, CPA, Partner at Gideon Adler & Co. CPAs

 

  • Understanding the flow of information and the organization of Federal form 1040 and some common schedules 
  • Resident vs. Non Resident - understand your status and the resulting taxation and reporting.
  • New and future reporting requirements for international assets and income.

About the speaker:

Oren Adler is an Israeli American CPA; he is a partner in a regional boutique firm of Gideon Adler & Co., CPAs.  Born in the Israeli community of Fair Lawn, NJ, Oren only spoke and heard Hebrew until he was five years old.  Oren started studying accounting in high school and continued to complete a business and accounting bachelor’s degree from Boston University with three years’ matriculation.  Oren worked in regional Boston accounting firms and also started his own snowboarding consulting firm while getting his MBA in finance from Babson College.  Oren then worked in financial advisory for seven years including valuation services, litigation support, bankruptcy and restructuring before joining his current firm.  Currently Oren specializes in the international aspects of taxations for individuals and businesses, helping foreigners navigate and comply with USA taxation and reporting.

 

Gideon Adler & Co., CPAs is full-service accounting and taxation practice; assisting clients with strategic formation issues, bookkeeping, sales-tax, payroll, year-end accounting and tax-return filing since 1979.  The firm is peer-reviewed and therefore licensed to issues audited, reviewed and compiled financial statements. When necessary, the firm represents clients in negotiations with the IRS, state and local authorities.  There is an office in Israel where the senior partner, Gideon Adler meets with various Israeli clients regarding their USA businesses or US individual taxes.
