Speaker: Avraham Burg

Avraham Burg is one of the senior members of the Israeli Labor
Party. He served as the speaker of the 15th Knesset and in
various leading roles during the 12th, 13th and 15th Knesset.
In 1995 Burg became the Executive Chairman of the Jewish Agency
for Israel.
Burg has been an advocate for pluralism and tolerance in Israeli
society. He founded the Open Midrasha Center for Jewish Studies.
He is a committed advocate of the separation of politics and
religion in Israel.
Burg was born and raised in Jerusalem and he now lives with
his wife and six children in Nataf.
