About the speaker:
Mr. Bar-Zakay was appointed Senior Deputy Director for Professional Matters for the Israeli Tax Authority in March 2006. In his current position, Mr. Bar-Zakay is responsible for a few major tax reforms as the "Israel's 60th year Tax break package for new immigrants and returning residents" and tax reforms encouraging investments in Israel. Mr. Bar-Zakay leads the International Tax Division and serves as the head of the Israeli Pre - Rolling Institution. Mr. Bar-Zakay was appointed as the head of a tax committee regarding the influence of the IFRS regulations on corporate taxation. Prior to this position, he served as head of the Assessing Office for Large Enterprises in Israel. Mr. Bar-Zakay joined the Israel Tax Authority in 1992 and served in numerous positions including the head of the Professional Unit of the Israeli Tax Authority. Simultaneously he led guidance courses, held by the Israeli Tax Authority, for tax auditing inspectors. Mr. Bar-Zakay is a senior lecturer and coordinator of tax apprenticeship in academic institutions since 1998.
Greetings and Introduction, Zvi Chalamish, Chief Fiscal Officer of North America

Zvi Chalalamish, Israel's chief fiscal officer for North America, has 15 years of experience representing the Ministry of Finance in a wide range of executive positions. Appointed to his present position in the summer of 2005, Mr. Chalamish is responsible for raising foreign currency for the State of Israel in international markets through bond and loan guarantee offerings. As chief fiscal officer, he also oversees the State of Israel Bonds (Development Corporation of Israel) activities and fundraising initiatives worldwide. In addition, Mr. Chalamish is in charge of the budget for the Israel Economic Mission to North America and its five regional offices. As chief fiscal officer, he is the key liaison to the American investment banking community and the credit rating agencies. Zvi Chalamish is a graduate of the Hebrew University in Jerusalem with a B.A. in Economics and Accounting and an M.B.A. in Finance and Accounting.
