Since 1997 - President of Etgal Holdings Ltd:
Etgal Holdings Ltd. ("Etgal") is a private limited company, founded and owned by Mr. Ran Croll. Etgal's main activities include investments in mid-size companies in the Israeli market, and initiation and development of projects, primarily in the field of vital infrastructure. Most of the activities in that field are B.O.T projects, and Etgal responsibility, among other, to manage the relevant groups and to take responsibility for all commercial issues. Financing the projects are also under the direct responsibility of Etgal and Ran Croll, and that require a strong current relations with the banks during the construction period and during the operation. The company operates in various fields through joint enterprises with leading entities in the Israeli economy. The fields are: Wastewater Treatment; Public Transportation; Water Desalination; Energy & Power. Etgal and Ran Croll are experienced in economic consulting and companies valuation.
1995 – 1997 - Head of the Budget Department at the Ministry of Finance:
Participating in developing and forming the Finance and Budget policies for the State of Israel. Responsible for preparing the Budget proposals for the State of Israel, including the determination of Government priorities; responsibility for the implementation of the budget following its approval; and responsibility for initiating structural changes in the economic sector.
1992 - 1994 - Director General of the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure:
Responsible for implementing the Government's policy in the field of energy and introducing structural reforms to encourage competition and efficiency. During this period, the Fuel Reform was introduced and a new Electricity Law was prepared with the purpose of encouraging competition in the electricity sector. The Ministry also began to study the parameters for introducing Natural Gas into Israel's economy.
