Children for Sale - the real stories behind documenting child prostitution in Cambodia
Speaker: Guy Jacobson
Mr. Jacobson spent the last 18 months in Cambodia filming the stories of multiple children that were kidnapped or sold by their parents into prostitution.
The film crew was exposed to daily life threats by local illegal organizations while shooting the movie. The event will show parts of the movie and describe the stories behind the scenes.
About the speaker:
Mr. Jacobs is a successful New York attorney (Brown & Wood and O'Melveny and Myers) and investment banker (D. E. Shaw and UBS).
He has held a number of senior executive positions, managing international companies, divisions and projects.
Over the past 20 years he has produced numerous hours of television, written and published 15 books and over 2000 newspaper and magazine articles. Three of his screenplays were co-written with two time Academy Award Nominee Julian Chagrin.
Over the past two years Mr. Jacobson produced three full feature films that will be released in 2006.
